Interesting insights from the National Association of Realtors and Realtor.com’s research estimating how many homes are missing by income level. Their results led to finding that middle-income buyers are facing the largest shortage. To accommodate this shortage, it is important for builders to recognize where there is demand in the housing market. We are seeing a delay in these buyers pursuing homeownership until markets improve, and those that can overcome financial strains are drawn to new-home construction.
