Jon Jacobs, PE, PLS, DECI, started working with the C+C team in 2019 with over 20 years of experience under his belt. He provides professional land surveying services in the "collar counties" of Illinois that border Chicago's Cook County area and Wisconsin.

A “self-proclaimed perfectionist” by nature, this is just one of the many characteristics that helps to ensure the field work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Jon developed an interest for land surveying while in college, where he interned as field support for an engineering firm. During this time, he found a career path in land surveying as an opportunity to work outside and use his math skills. He is now a licensed engineer and professional land surveyor in Wisconsin and Illinois.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, Jon noted that his builder services workload continues to increase especially in his coverage area, citing factors such as lower home mortgage interest rates, homebuyers’ desire to live in the suburbs, and the increasing number of individuals working remotely vs. commuting into Chicago each day.

In order to keep up with the land surveying needs of his geographical areas, Jon strongly relies on C+C’s technology to ensure that his high-quality standards are supported by efficiency and accuracy.

Through CCConnect  and other digital platforms, Jon views files and incoming jobs, quickly communicates with customers and C+C team members, notes any status changes and more.

The ability to respond quickly to new and ongoing projects is a great benefit that Jon credits to technology. As a field crew team member, we ensure he is always up-to-date with the latest information and support needed for a successful path in land surveying.

When asked what he likes most about working with Carter + Clark, Jon shared: “It feels good to be part of a team and working in a career that I really enjoy. I have the best of all worlds!”
